Time for some Trivia in preparation for tonight's Town Hall!
First to comment with the right answers to these questions will get a Rebel SWAG set (as soon as we get them in!) ;)
In 1967 the Gladbrook community rallied and passed a bond that set records for the state of Iowa. It had the highest voter turn out in all precincts ever recorded and passed with an incredibly high approval rate of what? (to the closest percent)
This bond allowed the district to build an indoor pool and additional classrooms that were needed to replace part of the building that was condemned by the fire marshal . When was that part of the building originally built? There are technically two answers, so we'll accept either!
Last question.... During the same time period, Reinbeck also had its own facility revamping. It had built its Elementary in 1961 and then added on 4 classrooms in 1968. The 1968 projects didn't stop there though. The district tore down the 1908 building and added onto the 1921 building. What did this addition include?
We hope to see as many as possible tonight at the Secondary building in the Auditorium at 5:30. Even if you just stop in for a bit before or after some of the basketball games taking place, I would love to connect with you, get you some information, and give you the opportunity to start to provide feedback on the direction the district should go with in addressing its facility needs.
Take care and have a GReat one!

Today we had our December Ag in the Classroom. Shari shared some information about Christmas Trees with us. She then presented the kids with a challenge. They had fun working together to create the tallest Christmas tree out of gumdrops and toothpicks. Thank you to Grundy County Farm Bureau for making each of these lessons possible each month!
