The GR Elementary Wellness Ambassadors visited Iowa State today for a summit to learn about building healthy habits. The students got to explore Reiman Gardens, tour the Iowa State Creamery, and their favorite part- eating on campus! We even got to sample some of the ice cream!

The 7th grade girls volleyball team showed a lot of grit and hustle throughout their 6 games at Grundy Center. The girls went 3-3 with many matches very close in score. There were many aggressive hits and serves to move us forward in our wins. #rebelnation
The 8th grade Rebels battled hard but fell short against Grundy Center tonight, going 2-4. The girls were very aggressive while serving and showed strong net play! #rebelnation

The child development students had the opportunity to wear the empathy belly to have a little more understanding what pregnant women go through, mostly on the physical weight side of things. Guest star in the photos is our secondary English teacher, Mrs. George, who is due in Dec. 🤰

The TK kids colored and cut out drums for the letter D. Then, they used large plastic needles and yarn to work on their fine motor skills by stitching up and down on their drums.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck will be one of four hosts for night 1 of the NICL volleyball tournament! This will take place on Tuesday, October 7th at GR High School. The schedule below will be how the night will unfold:
4:40pm - 1st Match Warm-Up
5:00pm - Match 1 -- Gladbrook-Reinbeck vs Oelwein
Match 2 -- Sumner-Fredericksburg vs Aplington-Parkersburg
Match 3 -- M1 Losing Team vs M2 Losing Team
Match 4 -- M1 Winning Team vs M2 Winning Team
It will be streamed on our HUDL TV page.
Admission will be $7 for adults and K-12 students.
Due to this being a conference tournament, GR activity passes ARE NOT accepted! The only accepted passes are NICL passes. You can get admittance using cash or we will have a card reader available.
We look forward to a GReat night of volleyball on October 7th!

A lot of good competition at the Jesup meet this afternoon which led to hilights of season PR's by:Owen G, Reese S, Elijah P, Katelyn M, & Levi C!! We also have plenty on the team who are battling through shin splints and still finding a way to battle through & keep on improving!
