GCGR Boys Contrary to the previous post, there should be a card reader available for Monday against Columbus. Fans can either purchase a ticket online or can use a card when they arrive to buy a ticket. NO CASH will be accepted. Game starts at 5:30pm at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.

GCGR Boys Soccer will play against Columbus Catholic in a 1A Region 3 Semifinal. This will take place at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex. The complex is located at 3238 Dewitt Rd, Waterloo, IA. The start time is 5:30pm. Tickets must be purchased online. We WILL NOT have a card reader available. The following is information from the state regarding how to purchase tickets: When your fans go to purchase tickets beginning on Friday, they will not find a Columbus Catholic vs. GC/G-R match. In order to purchase a ticket, they will need to go to the Class 4A game that has Cedar Falls vs. Ames. State Track Sendoff Route Tomorrow morning state track athletes/coaches will leave Reinbeck and make their way to Des Moines. They will have a firetruck escorted route through both Reinbeck and Gladbrook. Estimated time of departure from the high school will be 8:40-8:45am. Estimated time of arrival in Gladbrook is 9:05-9:10am. Here are the routes: Reinbeck: Leave from back of the high school and go north on Broad St. Once they get to Main St, they will turn left and go west on Main until they reach Blackhawk St. On Blackhawk they will be going south where they will go past the front of the high school before heading south out of town. Gladbrook: There will be a firetruck leading them into town on highway 96. They will turn and go north on Washington St past the daycare. They will keep going until they reach 2nd St. On 2nd street they will go west through the businesses until they get to Lincoln St. On Lincoln they will go south until they get back to highway 96. Once back on highway 96 they will make their way to Des Moines. They would love to see as many of Rebel Nation as possible along the routes!

As part of Heathy Choices class, we have workout Wednesdays.... designed by students. Today, they decided to take advantage of the nice weather to be outside at the elementary playground.

This morning the third grade students enjoyed the Reinbeck Library program at the Memorial Building. Today was Grundy County Officer Brohme and his K-9 dog, Zander. They showed us some of the skills that Zander has. They also enjoyed asking some questions of the officer. Thank you to the Reinbeck Library for letting us join in on the program.

A huge congratulations to the cast and crew of GR's production of Once Upon a Mattress! They have been recognized by the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards program for their distinguished scene, "Shy." On top of that, Vanessa Arvizu-Ersland earned Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role for her performance as Princess Winnifred, and Carly Wilson earned Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role, playing the Jester. These students will be recognized at the Des Moines Performing Arts Center through the IHSMTA Showcase, May 30 at 7:00 pm. We will also have 2 students representing our theater department for the finale of the show (which will also air this summer on PBS!).
