This Friday, January 30th, will be Parents Night for winter activities. It will begin after the varsity girls game and before the varsity boys start their warmup.

9-11 grade band members, cheer, girls basketball, and boys basketball will all be on the court at the same time and will have their name read off along with their parent/guardian. Once they are done, they will exit the floor.

Senior band members, cheer, girls basketball, and boys basketball will be lined in the hallway outside the gym and will walk in the gym alphabetically along with their parent/guardian when their name is called.

We hope to see a GReat home crowd this Friday! Go Rebels!

Our TK days are filled with discovery and learning!

Congrats to Leila Thesing on being selected to the 2026 Shrine Bowl All-Star Cheer Squad. This is Leila's 2nd year being selected to cheer at the Iowa Shrine Bowl. Leila and Jayla Hemann will represent GR Nation proudly and cheer on classmate Hudson Clark. The game will be played on July 19th at the UNI Dome.

Thanks to Zachary, Community Prevention Educator, with Pathways for teaching our health students 6 lessons on nicotine and vaping. Today was the first of the lessons. We are lucky to have this timely resource!

Tomorrow night is the night for our RED OUT!! We are having a Red Out for the American Heart Association as we host Grundy Center. We are expecting a big crowd on hand and are asking spectators in attendance to wear as much red as possible!

Aside from GReat basketball on the court, we also want to bring awareness to heart health. Players, cheerleaders, and coaches will be wearing red t-shirts during their games.

We will have a relay race at halftime of the varsity girls game. There will be a drawing at halftime of the varsity boys game to win a signed basketball from the UNI men's team and another from the UNI women's team!

We will have a table set up outside the gym where a director from the American Heart Association will have items on display and can learn about the heart and how to save lives.

It is going to be a jam-packed night but we're looking forward to all of it and seeing a gym filled with red!
