7th-9th grade students were given a portion of a bigger picture to recreate. They did a great job working on their own portion and ended up with some really cool looking paintings.

Girls soccer at home vs DNH is postponed due to potentially severe weather. It will now be played on Thursday April 30th at 5 PM. Boys soccer vs North Fayette Valley that night will follow the girls match.
Boys soccer at New Hampton is still on and will now start at 4:30 PM.

Tonight at the Grundy County Community Foundation 2026 Awards Celebration, Dayna Eckhoff (Kindergarten Teacher & PTO Member) proudly accepted an $8,000 grant on behalf of the GR PTO to support our new ADA-accessible playground at the elementary!
Also representing this exciting project were Addi Smith (Kindergarten Teacher & PTO Member), Erin Schildroth (PTO President), Laura Evans (PTO Member), and Shaun Lehmann (Elementary Principal).
The evening celebrated grant recipients from across Grundy County and highlighted the incredible impact these funds are making in communities through meaningful projects and opportunities. We’re grateful to be part of such an inspiring night and thankful for the support in helping us create a more inclusive space for all of our students!

Next Thursday, April 30th will be girls and boys youth soccer night for youth that make up the communities of Gladbrook-Reinbeck and Grundy Center.
Boys soccer will be hosting North Fayette Valley that night. The JV will actually start will at 5:30 PM and will play one 40 min half. Following that, the varsity will begin around 6:30 PM.
Youth soccer players are invited to help go through warm-ups with the varsity team and should plan on being at the soccer field by 5:45 PM if they would like to do that.
We will recognize the youth girls and boys soccer players at half of the varsity match in the middle of the field under the lights. If not planning to help during varsity warm-ups, youth and their parents/guardians should plan on being at the field by 6:45 PM so ensure they are they well before half.
Youth can wear their blue or grey game shirt to get into the matches free of admission. It will be a great night of soccer and recognition, so come on down to the field on Thursday April 30th!
