The 2026 NICL Tournament bracket is officially set! Action gets underway next Tuesday October 6th for night 1 of the tournament. Night 2 will be Thursday October 8th with matchups and sites TBD.

Match information is below.

*Match Length -- All Matches will be played best 2 of 3 to 25, 3rd Set to 15.

*Admission -- NICL Passes are accepted, but Host School Passes are not as this is an NICL Sanctioned Event.

*Live Stream -- Determined/Shared by Union Community as they will be the host on October 6th.

FINE ARTS FOOTBALL CONCESSION STAND ~ 3 more Volunteers Needed!!

We hope everyone is enjoying Homecoming week!!

We have 4 big announcements for the concession stand this week

1) LSB (a GReat community partner) is providing 9 volunteers for Friday night's concession stand
2) There will be FREE popcorn sponsored on behalf of LSB
3) Tama County Cattlemen (a GReat community partner) will be grilling hamburgers Friday night
4) Peace Church from Gladbrook (a GReat community partner) is providing $5 vouchers to be used at the concession stand

We need 3 more volunteers to work with the GReat people from LSB.

The main fundraiser for the GR Fine Arts Boosters is the profits from the football concession stand and one of the main activities we support is the music trip every four years. The next trip is March 2027!

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - This qualifies as volunteer hours for your Silver Cord.

We encourage students to help in the concession stand. All students 6th grade and below need to have an adult (parent, etc) volunteering, too.

The 7th grade volleyball team went 3-1 tonight against AGWSR. The rebels worked their way out of a few deficits to pull out some wins! Great work, ladies! #rebelnation

From presenting their Fall 2026 Design Sprint to working together through different challenges, the year has been a great opportunity to build communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Our associates got to step outside the classroom, work with new people, and have some fun along the way. We’re excited to see how they continue to grow, learn, and make the most of their experiences throughout the year.

Yesterday, 10 FFA members travelled to NIACC in Mason City to compete in the NC District Soil Judging Contest.

Members identified soil profiles, land productivity, best soil management practices, and surface features. They also recommended agricultural and non-agricultural uses for the land.

Karina, Prycely, Kohen, and Dally got a silver rating. Anieyah, Dustin, Owen, Colbie, Eastyn, and LaKenze got a bronze rating.

The 7th grade volleyball team went 2-3 on the night against a tough Hudson team. The girls did a great job serving aggressively and played some great defense. These girls continue to improve each game! #rebelnation

Pajama day today for Homecoming! The third-grade students always love this for a dress-up day!

Your 2nd (special Homecoming) edition of "The Rebel Rundown" is out! It will be distributed to various places in our district by the end of the day.

Update to the junior high/high school dress-up days:

Due to potential weather later this week, we are switching Tuesday and Wednesday around.

Tuesday will now be Country vs. Country Club, Drive Your Tractor to School Day, and the breakfast tailgate in the student parking lot.

Wednesday will be Teacher-Alike Day.
