TK Star of the Week!

Postville High School hosted a fantastic day of individual speech. GR took a total of 16 performances, 11 of which are going on to State! Jayla Hemann, Lauren Allen, Felix Lage, Leila Thesing, Janine Kollreider, Emelyne Le Strat, Kinzee Hemann, Mai Knaack, and Tatum Syhlman will see you at Maquoketa Valley on March 14!

Thank you to the GR FFA for hosting a petting zoo for the elementary students. The third-grade kids had a great time!

Earlier this school year, Mrs. Eckhoff, one of our amazing kindergarten teachers at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary, was selected as a recipient of the Project Classroom Grant through Greater Iowa Credit Union! She was even recognized on the field during the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game earlier this year! 🏈❤️💛🖤 Recently, her class gathered to watch the official check presentation video and celebrate with a special goodie box delivered just for them. It was such a fun moment for our kindergarteners! Mrs. Eckhoff’s goal was to help bridge the gap by adding more engaging playground yard games while we continue fundraising for our brand-new playground, which we’re hopeful to have installed this fall. GR individual speech performers Janine, Mai, Jayla, Emelyne, Kinzee, Leila, Lexi S, Tatum, Lauren, Hudson, Shakya, Macklin, Felix, and Orion head north to Postville for District Contest tomorrow! Wish them luck for a GR8 day of entertainment.

RPOs for the winter are competed as we had a lot of kids committed to showing up on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:15-7:00 am to work out! Thanks to Coach Luhring and all his work to help our kids become disciplined athletes. Also congrats to Dayton Heise, Bennett Sieh & Thomas Farley for their 💯 % attendance 24/24! #rebelnation

The TK class had fun doing this cute spring craft with their friends at Parkview!

🎬🍿 Math at the Movies was a success! Our 4th graders spent the morning putting their math skills to work in real-life ways — from ticket sales and concessions to perimeter, area, fractions, and elapsed time. They rotated through hands-on stations, showed great teamwork, and proved that math really is everywhere! We wrapped up the day by celebrating with the movie GOAT and some popcorn. A big thank you to our helpers and the G-R PTO for supporting this fun learning experience! ⭐🐐

1. The competition gym in Charles City is attached to their middle school. This is located on 1200 1st Ave in Charles City. Please use the middle school entrance.

2. Tickets are now available to be purchased through Bound. They are $8.90 which includes feed. Cash is NOT accepted. You should plan on purchasing online ahead of time. A link to online tickets is below.

3. Doors will not open until 6 PM. Admittance will not be allowed prior to 6 PM.

As part of our Fairytale Unit, the TK kids colored in our large class troll and each drew their own trolls. They drew and wrote about what they would like to find at the top of the beanstalk and Mr. Bonjour even came and read a version of Jack and the Beanstalk to our class.
