Rebel Nation: this week each day you will see a new set of faces showcased. Over the past 2 weeks all of our elementary kids "ran the mile" in PE. TK-2nd/3rd grade tried to run a mile, without walking. 3rd-6th grade worked on pacing to see how fast they could run the mile. Those younger kids that ran a mile without walking are now part of the mile club! There are a few updates regarding GCGR girls soccer and upcoming matches over the next week:

Monday May 11th at Denver is now postponed to Friday May 22nd

Tuesday May 12th at Hudson is cancelled - It will NOT be made up

Friday May 15th @ Benton Community and Monday May 18th (H) vs Hudson are still on as scheduled

***We are making the changes on May 11th and May 12th due to a multitude of unfortunate injuries on the GCGR girls soccer team. Right now there is not quite enough of player availability to safely field a full team over the next couple of days which requires multiple substitutions throughout the match.

We want to ensure that the team is in a more healthy spot and able to have a opportunity for participation in postseason competition. The changes above allow for a bit of extra time to recover for players currently out without having further injuries to players that are available.

Third-grade had lots of fun at Field Day on Friday! What a beautiful afternoon it was for us to be outside! Thanks to all who helped put this on for our students!

Thank you Coach Olson and Mr. Grooms for planning a GReat Field Day. The HS students did a fabulous job working with the kids and the TK students had a blast!

Exciting News as the G-R Rebels JH Boys Track team had Mason Wrider represent Rebel Nation at the Middle School State Track & Field Championships today! Mason is one of the top hurdles in the 8th grade this year. Today he finished in 8th place in the 200 Hurdles and 6th place in 100 Hurdles against athletes from all over the state! A great accomplishment and Congrats Mason! #rebelnation
