Class of 2038 🎓 Our kindergarten students dressed for the future as they proudly held their Class of 2038 signs! As we prepare for the final day of the school year, it’s hard to believe how quickly this year has flown by. From the first day of kindergarten to now, these students have grown in so many ways—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are so proud of all they have accomplished this year and can’t wait to watch them continue to learn, grow, and achieve great things in the years ahead. The future is bright for the Class of 2038! ✨

The 6th graders had the opportunity to put up the large flags at the Reinbeck Cemetery this morning. It was a great morning to give back to our community. The students did an excellent job working as a team and being respectful of the flags. We want to thank Marshall Mennenga for helping us.

This afternoon, the third-grade students walked to the Reinbeck Cemetery to place the small flags by the graves of people who have served. We appreciate Marshall Mennenga for helping us. This is a great way for the students to learn about the meaning of Memorial Day and giving back to their community. We encourage families to take time on Monday to attend a Memorial Day service.

Rebel Nation: this week each day you will see a new set of faces showcased. Over the past 2 weeks all of our elementary kids "ran the mile" in PE. TK-2nd/3rd grade tried to run a mile, without walking. 3rd-6th grade worked on pacing to see how fast they could run the mile. Those younger kids that ran a mile without walking are now part of the mile club! Mrs. Plett's Best Mile times were: Girls- McKinley Bonjour 9:25 and Boys- Jaylon Olson 6:20, Congrats! . #rebelnation

On Saturday, we had two junior high representatives participate in the Des Moines Iowa Youth and Government conference where they presented bills and debated with peers from across Iowa. Kiley Presar and Grant Frahm did an excellent job! Special acknowledgement goes to Grant Frahm for earning an Outstanding Statesperson award.
