Math is Everywhere in Reinbeck! Our 4th–6th grade students took learning into the community during our Math Around Reinbeck experience! Students visited local businesses to see how math is used every day in real jobs—asking questions, making connections, and seeing math in action. G-R Softball Webstore!!!!!! Yes you heard that right. This year we are having a Junior High Softball team as a trial year before we commit to a long term plan. We have 11- 7th graders going out and 3-8th graders. Cookie dough from our fundraiser has been delivered to the high school. It is sorted out for students that sold it. They have been instructed to pick it up their cookie dough at the end of the school day today and bring it home to deliver.

If they are not able to pick it up, they will need to have someone pick it up for them. We will not hold it overnight.

Last night, the HS girls track team competed at the DNH Simon’s Relays, and it was another outstanding evening on the track. Highlights from the meet:     •    Kennedy Brant delivered an incredible performance, medaling in all four of her events. She set personal records in the 100m, 100m hurdles, and 400m hurdles. Kennedy took 🥇 1st place in the 400m hurdles with a new school record time of 1:04.22, and also broke the school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.91.     •    Ryanne White achieved a new personal record in the long jump.     •    Karli Heasley and Bri Carley both recorded new PRs in the 200m.     •    Emelyne Le Strat competed in her first race of the season, making an impressive transition from team manager to athlete in her first-ever track event. A great night of effort, growth, and achievement for the team!

Thursday, April 30th is Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Night at the HS Boys and Girls soccer games in Reinbeck! Boys and Girls CV Youth soccer players who wear their jersey to the game get in free! Also, boys and girls youth players can warm up with either team at 4:45pm or 6:15pm before the varsity games. The Game Day schedule is below:

4:30 PM - JV BOYS GCGR vs NFV (30 min half)

4:45 PM - HS Boys Varsity warm-ups (lower field)

5:30 PM - Varsity Boys GCGR vs NFV

*Youth recognition during half of varsity boys

6:15 PM - HS Girls Varsity warm-ups (lower field)

7:00 PM - Varsity Girls GCGR vs DNH

It will be a great night of soccer so let's pack the place and cheer loud for GCGR!
