Last meet of the season in the books. The seniors got to run "Jaws" one last time. Almost every runner ran a faster time tonight at Eldora than they did earlier this season. Proud of this team!
If you were able to tune into the livestream of our postseason volleyball matches on Monday and yesterday, you may have heard a couple of our GR students providing commentary. These two did a fantastic job on the call of the matches and even dressed the part with their matching blazers.
Kael Blohm (front) and Hudson Clark (back) really took to the role and had fun with the experience. It even caught the attention of a fan from HLV that couldn't make it last night and watched online. Here's what they said about Kael and Hudson:
"To Whom It May Concern,
I just finished watching the live stream for the volleyball game against HLV. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed listening to the student announcers. The night before I watched the live stream for Mount Vernon & Williamsburg and your students did such a superior job to the older adults.
You could tell they were from Gladbrook but they didn't get too carried away with the one sided commentary that most sports announcers do. They did a very good job and made it very entertaining. I even enjoyed when they brought the guest announcer in. I laughed quite a bit watching this and glad I couldn't make it to the game in person, just because I had so much fun listening to them.
So please pass this on & tell those boys they did a good job.
