Today, the third-grade students had Ag in the Classroom. Shari taught us about Christmas trees. We learned about three different kinds of evergreens. We each got a little piece to try to decide what kind it was. We also made an ornament and wrote letters for kids at the Iowa City Children's Hospital. As always, we love having Shari come in each month!

We were feeling a little Grinchy in TK!

The TK class was surprised by a special visit from Santa while we were at Parkview today! Each child got to tell Santa something they wanted for Christmas and we sang a couple of Christmas songs with the residents. It was a very fun visit!

Rebel Basketball Cheer Camp got to perform their cheers and dance tonight in packed gym. We had over 60 girls attend cheer camp! We had so much fun! And tonight these little cheerleaders put on an amazing show! 🤠🎄

Since we were working on the letter Rr in TK, our STEM challenge on Friday was to build a ramp that a car could go down using pieces of cardboard and tape. This would be an easy challenge for adults but was a difficult challenge for the kids. They worked extremely hard on their ramps and after many trials, errors, and revisions each group ended up with a working ramp.
