A big congratulations to GR Rebel senior, William Kiburis, on being named to the IPSWA (Iowa Print Sports Writers Association) 1st team in class 1A!
A tremendous career on the basketball court was capped off this season by leading the Rebels to a 1A state tournament appearance and earning a spot on 1st team by the IPSWA.
Thank you for representing the Rebels with nothing but class and excellence.

Happening this Friday, March 17th, will be the NICL all-star game in Reinbeck. Unfortunately, due to low numbers there will be NO girls game or contests.
There will be a boys game that will also include a 3pt contest and a dunk contest. The boys game will start at 6:15PM this Friday.
There is no admission as it's free to attend but there will also be no concessions. Doors will be open by 5:30PM.
If you can't make it, GR YouTube channel will livestream but will not have audio. KDAO will be there to livestream and also provide audio.
A post will all of the information will be shared out this Friday morning.
Come on out to support the Rebel seniors boys as well as other NICL seniors from across the conference!

What a day of performances at State Speech! Way to go Wes, Rachael, Akeelah, Drew, and Nattalee. Averaging out their 3 judges' scores, Wes earned a 1 in musical theater, 2 in prose; Rachael earned a 2 in musical theater, 1 in prose; Akeelah a 1 in public address; Drew a 2 in expository address; and Nattalee a 1 in after dinner speaking. #rebelsrising

Congrats to the 8th grade Poetry Madness winner, Jada, and to Tavin who wrote his own poem for a hard-earned second place finish!

Congrats to Caleb Egesdal! Caleb has been selected by the State as Class 1A Boys BB Student Athlete Achievement Award recipient. Caleb will be honored live on center court before the Class 1A State Championship game which is scheduled for a 1:00 tip-off on Friday, March 10th.

Unfortunately we will have to cancel the Speech Showcase that was scheduled for tonight. Thank you still for the support and wish our State Contest participants good luck! See you in Starmont!

Thanks to both the Tama and Grundy County Extension and Outreach programs, the 7th graders began their FCS trimester with both Mindful Teen and laundry lessons. The students learned a lot and especially enjoyed the laundry relay.




The yearbook class is ready to create a GReat yearbooks for 22-23 school year. If you haven't purchased your book yet and would like one bring $45 to the office.
Books will be delivered in Sept.

Rebels conclude their season with a 23-3 record and a state quarterfinal trophy to their name. An extremely unselfish team and one that worked hard and did everything the right way.
