NICL Tournament
Correction on the conference tournament. GR Rebel volleyball will play Thursday Oct. 6th in Hudson. The team is not able to play for the championship, but will compete in rounds 3 and 4 along with the following schools: Hudson, Jesup, and Waterloo Columbus. Start time for the first match is 5PM. Schedule is as follows:

Match 1 -- Hudson vs Jesup
Match 2 -- Gladbrook-Reinbeck vs Columbus (17m Warm-Up) - This match is after the completion of match 1.

Match 4 -- M1 Winning Team vs M2 Winning Team (6m Warm-Up)

GR Rebels defeat East Marshall, 25-16, 25-13. We finish at 1-1 but will not move on in the conference tournament. The VB team is in action again this Saturday Oct. 8th at the Comet Tournament hosted by BCLUW. Keep working hard, ladies!

Today was College Applications Day for the senior class! Students had an opportunity to work on college applications throughout the morning. Many students applied to at least one college - some applied to as many as 5! Many more students stopped in to fill out a banner and celebrate the schools they’ve already applied to. The future is bright for these seniors!

7th Grade Math students worked on problems with info gaps. Some students had data and their partner(s) had the problem. After all data was combined, the students worked together to solve the problem and write the related equations.

Mrs. Wrage’s sixth grade students worked together in groups to create environments for their 5 mystery materials. They will be figuring out if these materials are living or non living in the next few days.

The 6th graders are participating in the Hy-Vee KidsFit program. We are trying to incorporate more mindful movements in our day. Today we did a 6 minute yoga break and a 6 minute workout in the gym!
