Rebel Strength, Conditioning, & Plyos: Plyometric training has been going strong with 24 kids in this morning at 6:15. AND 31 athletes that have attended at least 1 session. Coach Luhring & Coach Schuman have been very pleased with the effort and attitude displayed. These athletes are training to become quicker, faster and be more explosive. With weight training we will start back up with Strength & Conditioning on Monday Dec 2nd with Zero hour PE 2-3 days a week as we have over 50 athletes signed up. Coach Olson and Coach Schuman will be in touch with the athletes as we start our winter session during trimester 2. Combining Strength, Conditioning, & Plyos will make a complete athlete over time. Moving forward they Plyos will be engrained into each week offered opposite of Zero Hr PE days. Coach Luhring, Schuman & Olson will keep everyone informed. #rebelnation.

Wow! We did it!! Our elementary book fair was a huge success - we met and exceeded our goal of getting a lot of great books into our students' hands! The best part: We're not done yet! The online book fair is still open through December 1st at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/grelem24
Thank you to everyone who stopped by in person and visited the online fair - your support is so very appreciated. Your support means we can now add a lot of new and exciting books into our libraries and the students can't wait!
See you at the spring 2025 fair!

Reminder: The GR FFA jacket ceremony is tonight at 7 in the auditorium. Come out and support the FFA kids and this program. First-year members receive their jackets tonight! Parents, grandparents, teachers, community members, and all welcome! There will be cookies and juice following the ceremony!

Physical Science learned about electric charges this week. To show static electricity and static discharge, we used the van de Graff generator. A few students got to try it out and their hair show the stored charge. #grrebels #rebelsrising

Last night our Rebel Wrestlers competed at our HOME JH Wrestling meet at G-R with over 120 wrestlers from 7 different schools. It was a great night of wrestling! Thanks to the workers, officials, parents and fans that came out to support our coaches and athletes! #rebelnation

Rebel Athletics: Last 2-3 weeks our G-R athletes have been working hard at plyometric training on T/Th at 6:15am. "Plyos" train athletes to jump higher, run faster & be more explosive. Coach Luhring & Coach Schuman have been keeping track of attendance and will start recognizing those that show up so keep up the good work. HOWEVER we need to take TOMORROW OFF so we can be rested up to cheer on the Rebels at the DOME. See you next Tuesday, Nov 26th! #rebelnation.

Rebel Nation,
Tomorrow morning the football team will depart from the front of the high school at approximately 7:15 AM. If you would like to send them off, we ask that you’re in front of the high school at 7 AM. They will be escorted via fire truck going north on Blackhawk St to Hwy 175. They will go east on 175 until reaching Pioneer Road where they will turn and go north to the UNI-Dome!
Regardless of the outcome of the game, we will have a season and welcome back celebration in the HS gym approximately one hour after the completion of the game. We will keep you updated on when the team will be arriving back at the HS, where we will have a celebration in the gym.
On their way back to Reinbeck, they will have a firetruck escort them into town and will take a short route to the school. They will be going across 175 on pioneer road, then turn right on Main St and will go to Blackhawk St. They will go south on Blackhawk St in front of the high school and then turn left on Cedar St. They will end the route behind the school where the team will get off the bus and come into the school for a celebration.
We would love to see as much of Rebel Nation before, during, and after the game as possible! Go Rebels!
