Rebel Nation, As the schedule for the winter sports season begins to wind down over the next couple of weeks, please be mindful of the following for events: TK-6 grade students attending events are required to remain within the general vicinity of the adult that accompanies them to the event. Those students should not be loitering in the areas of the concession stand, restrooms, lower gym, hallways, etc. The expectations of the above students is that they remain in the bleachers to watch and support the competing student-athletes unless they are using the restroom, visiting the concession stand, or eating in the commons. We look forward to seeing Rebel Nation tomorrow night for Parents' Night as we host Union Community. Go Rebels!

It was a busy Friday in third grade today! This morning we went to a play at Gallagher Bluedorn called Tomas and the Library Lady. Then this afternoon we shared our writing with the fifth grade students. We have been writing realistic fiction stories. Thanks to the fifth-grade students for listening to the third-graders and writing them compliments.

Congrats to Tavia Olson and Jase Theesfeld for placing 1st at Special Olympic Regional Basketball today in Cedar Falls. They both qualify and advance to State in a month! #rebelnation

Gladbrook - Reinbeck CSD, Today, our district managed a situation involving a concerning message that was sent to students within a group text message. Prompt action was taken in coordination with law enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff, which remained our top priority. I extend my sincere thanks to our dedicated staff, the Grundy County Sheriff's office, and the AEA for their swift response and support. Their efforts were instrumental in maintaining a calm and secure environment throughout the day. In response to the incident, we did have increased law enforcement presence at the school as a precaution. We are committed to open communication and are reviewing our response protocols to better serve our community in the future. We also acknowledge the need for accurate information dissemination, especially in such sensitive situations, and are addressing any discrepancies in media reporting. We did not have a school, individual, or group directly targeted in any threat. We continue to encourage a collaborative approach in our school community and welcome any feedback or suggestions.
