Community Update: Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD Facts & Clarifications

Over the past several weeks, there’s been a lot of discussion about the bond, PPEL, and district finances. I’ve put together a detailed message addressing many of the common questions and misconceptions that have been circulating.

We were busy in TK today! We weighed our pumpkins, worked as partners to decide what the face of our pumpkin should look like, and carved our pumpkin. I think it turned out pretty great!

As we were learning about the letter Gg, the TK students each had a chance to show off their musical talent by playing the guitar!

ONE week from today these athletes will be at the State Cheer Championships in Des Moines! If you were at last night's game you got a sneak peak of our routine. They have been working hard and will be putting in the work this week practicing every chance we get. #makeroominthecase

❤️ Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary showed up strong for “Wear Red Day!” ❤️ Today, our students and staff wore red to show support for our current families, community members, and our very own teacher—Captain Logemann—who are currently serving! Finished the season in Mason City this evening. We had some races that were close to PR's and I'm proud of how this team prepared and ran this afternoon. The seasons go fast, & I really look forward to most of this crew returning next year. Special shout out to sen. mngr. Nate S!

💥 Rebels with a Cause were up bright and early Thursday morning decorating the school so students could walk in surrounded by positive, encouraging messages about making healthy choices! ❤️

After serving on the community-led Task Force focused on the future of Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Amanda was inspired to take the next step and run for the School Board. With a background in supply management and product development, she brings strong problem-solving skills and a focus on transparency, relationship building, and collaboration. Her goal? To listen, learn, and help move GR forward—together.

Meet your GR School Board Candidate: Kyle Rasmussen A long-time Reinbeck resident, parent of two GR students, and small business owner, Kyle brings experience in financial planning, community leadership, and a passion for strong public schools. His focus? Building trust, supporting teachers, and preparing students for real-world success.

Meet your GR School Board Candidate: Jennifer Wrage

A lifelong advocate for education, Jennifer has been part of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School District since 1984 as a teacher, coach, parent, and now board member. With nearly four decades of experience supporting students and staff, she brings deep insight, compassion, and a commitment to public education. Jennifer’s goal is to ensure that every student has access to a safe, engaging, and opportunity-filled learning environment that reflects the strength of both the Gladbrook and Reinbeck communities.
