There has been a change to the HS home basketball games tonight vs Sumner-Fredericksburg. Due to the projected weather coming later tonight, there will be NO JV games!

We will start varsity girls at 4:45 PM wit varsity boys to follow around 6:15 PM. Youth cheer is still on for tonight and will take place during half time of the varsity boys game. Please have your youth cheerleaders at the HS by 6:10 PM.

7th graders practiced making food chains, food webs, and energy pyramids...with a twist! We got to draw on the tables with chalk markers. 😀

On Wednesday the secondary building hosted a mental health/service learning day. Despite the early out, we were still able to hear a powerful message from our speaker, Ryan Nesbit, co-founder of Alive and Running Iowa. Students were also able to participate in many service activities during the morning. It was a great day of learning and serving!

Projects included:
Making Christmas bags for all GR PreK students
Visiting Residents at Westbrook Acres and Parkview Manor
Visiting PreK students at Crayon Corner
Volunteering at the Elementary
Creating and sending a care packaging for deployed elementary teacher, Tim Logemann
Baking cookies for nursing home residents
Making tie blankets for nursing home residents
Making encouraging notes for all secondary students
Creating Christmas cards for loved ones
Packing food bags and restocking the school food pantry

It was amazing to see all our students can accomplish for our communities!
