This morning was our monthly Ag in the Classroom for third grade. This month, we learned about bees. The kids enjoyed the book, the activity, and trying the three different kinds of honey. Thanks to Shari and Grundy County Farm Bureau for these learning opportunities for our students!

The golfers spent practice on Monday helping clean up Oak Leaf Country Club during spring clean up day. The team is very thankful to have the course to practice and play meets at. We are excited for the upcoming season. 💙⛳️

As spring events get started and we have home soccer matches, we will again be streaming home soccer matches on our GR YouTube channel. KDAO will also be streaming several home matches throughout the soccer season.

In the event there is rain in the forecast for any home soccer matches, we will most likely not be able to stream that day due to the camera needing to be outside. In the event that happens, we will make sure to communicate that.

Thanks to Crystal Petersen, Wellness & Nutrition Services Director, from GCMH Unity Point for working with the Healthy Choices students again today. We learned about beverages and also fad diets. We focused on reality behind what we think we know ....facts vs fibs!

Thanks to this AWESOME community, the Senior Class didn’t just sell pies… we absolutely CRUSHED it with 311 pies 🥧💪 That’s a whole lot of crust, filling, and school spirit—and we couldn’t have done it without you! Seriously, you all showed up big time, and we’re so grateful (and slightly amazed). 🚨 Pie update: TODAY is delivery day! 🚨 So if you ordered one (or five… we’re not judging), get ready—your delicious decisions are arriving soon! The TK students were excited to have FFA students Kinzee and Prycley teach them about soil and plant seeds with them. We put our flower pots in the window and will check them daily.

Today's TK STEM challenge was to use the wide variety of supplies provided to build a chair for a bear. The chair needed to have a seat, a back and some legs. It also needed to be able to hold the bear without breaking or falling over. There was a lot of great analyzing and problem solving taking place during this activity!
