Yesterday in TK, we read the book Shades of People. It taught us that our skin is just a covering and that you can't tell what someone is like from the color of their skin.

XC ran a GR8 meet tonight. JH ran their 1st race of the season and ran well. Every HS boy ran a season PR: Caleb B, Campbell G, Braiden S, & Levi C, with highlights of a 4th place medal finish by Caleb P. and Tavin R.'s debut as a XC runner!!
7th graders traveled to Hudson tonight for their first matches. They went 4-2 with an overall serving percentage of 75%. Great start Rebels! #rebelnation
The 8th grade rebels traveled to Hudson tonight for their season opener. They went 4-2 on the night and showed strong serving, defense, and were aggressive while hitting.

They are responsible for setting educational goals, establishing policy, overseeing district finances, and holding the district accountable for student learning. While board members receive no pay for their service, many describe the rewards as deeply meaningful—knowing their efforts help meet the needs of children and strengthen their community.
This fall, four seats on the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Board of Education will be up for election. Nominations can be filed between August 25 and September 18. Nomination papers are available from the board secretary at the district office:
