This morning, the third-grade students joined the seventh graders in the auditorium for a special poetry-writing session. It was a fun and creative way to wrap up the poetry unit in third grade. The students loved working together to write winter-themed poems.
A neat part of this collaboration was that twenty-six years ago, Mrs. Fleshner began her teaching career at Gladbrook Elementary, and Mr. Beichley was one of her fifth-grade students.

Due to the early school dismissal today regarding deteriorating road conditions, there WILL NOT be any HS practices taking place. This includes HS girls and boys basketball, HS cheer, and HS girls and boys wrestling.
Coaches from GR have all been contacted about there being NO practice. Coaches from DNH and Union Community where we send our boys and girls for wrestling have been contacted as well about our athletes not attending practice today out of safety and not traveling on the roads.
We want them to get home as soon as school is dismissed today.
