Our district has shared a full, factual response to recent misleading claims. Transparency isn’t always easy, but it’s part of who we are.

More than anything, I want to say this: the kids are what keep me and so many other Rebels going. The students who show up every day wearing blue, white, and gray with pride. They rise above the noise, lead with heart, and accomplish incredible things on the field, on the stage, and in the classroom. They remind me daily why this work matters.

The third-grade students have been learning about animal classification during literacy time. We have been learning how to read nonfiction material, reading about different types of animals, learning new vocabulary, and learning about different text features in a book. This week, our focus has been on reptiles. This afternoon we had a special visitor. Miss Nissen, our GR band instructor, brought in her snake. She told us about her snake and some of its characteristics. The kids enjoyed our special visitor.

The Reinbeck Fire Department once again went above and beyond to show our students the many different trucks and tools they use when putting out fires and when attending to emergencies. They also talked with our kids about fire safety. Thank you for a job well done!

The TK class definitely has some future firefighters!

Day 2 of 5 senses detectives in Kindergarten! 🕵🏽 In Mrs. Eckhoff’s room we used our touch sense and gussed what we felt inside our mystery boxes. We also got to see and make our name in braille. In Mrs. Smith’s room we got to use our sense of taste, and try things that were sweet, sour, salty and bitter. They ended singing a fun, five senses sing-along. And then the whole crew went on a scavenger hunt for our final sense, sight!
