A reminder that tomorrow night, Sept. 9th, will be youth volleyball night during our home high school matches as we host East Marshall. After JV and F/S matches are complete, we will recognize youth volleyball on the court before varsity warmups begin.

This is for grades 3-8! Please be there by 6:40 PM at the latest.

In TK, the kids did their first group activity. Each group had to work together to color and decorate one of our lining up rules. They did a fabulous job!

Strong public schools depend on effective leadership. The Iowa Association of School Boards and Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District encourage Iowans who are passionate about education to consider running in the upcoming school board election on November 4, 2025.

School board members play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and communities. They are responsible for setting educational goals, establishing policy, overseeing district finances, and holding the district accountable for student learning. While board members receive no pay for their service, many describe the rewards as deeply meaningful—knowing their efforts help meet the needs of children and strengthen their community.

This fall, four seats on the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Board of Education will be up for election. Nominations can be filed between August 25 and September 18. Nomination papers are available from the board secretary at the district office:

GR8 2nd meet of the season @Jaws this evening. Caleb P. earned his 1st HS medal with an 11th place finish. Caleb B. came in @51st, Braiden S. & Levi C. both ran season PR's and Katelyn M. finished 8 seconds off of a season PR.

We had some great artists illustrating our class story on Tuesday

The 8th grade careers class got to spend some time at the Milk House today learning from Mr. Tessendorf about owning and operating a business. They also got to sample some great ice cream! Thanks to Mr. T for showing us the ropes!
