Rebel Nation,
Next Tuesday, September 9th will be youth volleyball night as we host East Marshall. Youth volleyball players in grades 3rd through 8th can wear their youth volleyball shirt and get free admission into the HS volleyball matches that night.
In between lower level matches and the varsity match, we will have youth volleyball players come down to the floor to be recognized. It will be a GReat night for volleyball!
Thank you and go Rebels!

There is never a dull moment in TK!

Thanks for more donations from community members, we have school supplies for students and staff. Isaac was able to practice his math, reading, and writing skills to count and take inventory. We appreciate the GReat help organizing everything!

Thanks so much to New Life Church for generously donating school supplies for the secondary building! Our students are so thankful for all the community support we receive!

We had the best morning in TK. Miss Nissen brought her pet snake Callisto to our room! She taught us a little bit about snakes and talked about what she has to do to take care of Callisto. Then she let everyone pet him. It was awesome!

Dear Rebel Families,
At its August 28 meeting, the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School Board approved a resolution to place a bond referendum on the ballot for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
If approved, the referendum would provide up to $17.3 million in funding to address long-standing facility needs at the Junior High/High School. The plan includes:
- Replacing deteriorating infrastructure from the over 100-year-old 1921 building
- Adding a secure entry and classroom addition to improve safety and replace outdated learning spaces
- Upgrading HVAC and electrical systems for safety, health, and energy efficiency
- Improving accessibility to meet ADA requirements for all students and visitors
- Creating flexible, functional learning spaces for current and future programming
The existing practice gym and auditorium will remain in use.
This work builds on the district’s other facility improvements, including the SAVE-funded elementary project (currently in final design) and the PPEL-supported updates approved by voters earlier this year. Together, these efforts represent a coordinated plan to keep Gladbrook-Reinbeck schools safe and ready for the future.
Upcoming Community Events -
We invite families to learn more, ask questions, and view the plans at these upcoming events:

- Tue, Sept 23 | 7–8 PM | Gladbrook Theatre
- Wed, Sept 24 | 7–8 PM | GR High School
Open Houses

- Tue, Oct 14 | 7–8:30 PM | GR High School
- Tue, Oct 28 | 7–8:30 PM | GR High School
What’s Next

Thank you for staying engaged as we work together to ensure safe and supportive schools for every G-R student.
Sincerely,
Caleb Bonjour
