🎤🎭🎹 We wrapped up the school day—and the school year—at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary with a Talent Show!
Our courageous 5th and 6th graders took the stage to share their incredible talents, from singing, dancing, and joke-telling to piano playing and solving Rubik’s Cubes at lightning speed! 🎶🕺🧩
We even got a peek into the world of 4-H with a presentation on showing sheep and earning ribbons, plus a few fun skits that had us all smiling. 🐑🎀😄
What a fun and memorable way to close out an amazing school year!
Have a fantastic summer, Rebels! ☀️📚✌️

TK rocket launching with Mr. E.

Mr. E. came today to launch rockets with the TK class!

This afternoon, the third-grade students helped at the Reinbeck Cemetery by placing the small flags. Before we went, we learned about Memorial Day. This is a special activity that we take part in to help kids learn about citizenship and giving back to their community.

A reminder that this morning at 10:20 we will be having a sendoff for state track and field participants. Participants will be walking the hallway from the HS gym doors out of the back doors to the parking lot where they will board a school vehicle and depart for Des Moines.
They will be escorted through Reinbeck and Gladbrook with the following routes: The state track vehicle will depart from behind the HS at 10:30. It will head north on Broad St and go to Main St. It will turn left and go west on Main St until Blackhawk St. The bus will turn left and go south on Blackhawk St and wind up going past the front of the high school.
Once the vehicle arrives in Gladbrook it will turn right onto Washington St and drive south until reaching 2nd St. It will turn left and go west on 2nd St until reaching Lincoln St. It will turn left on Lincoln St and go north until reaching Highway 96.
Then it will be heading to Des Moines! We invite students, staff, and Rebel Nation to line the hallway at 10:20 this morning that leads out of the back doors and cheer them on before they head to Des Moines!

The TK students received a free copy of the book ish by Peter Reynolds. This is one of their books! It teaches the reader that
ish" (meaning "sort of" or "not quite") can be a wonderful way to create. The kids each made an ish picture inside the cover of their book.

When signing up for this program, please use the QR code. It's not mandatory, but it would be beneficial to have an idea of how many meals to prepare!

Due to saturated HS baseball field conditions in Reinbeck, today's baseball with North Tama will now be in Traer. It will be a varsity only game and will start at 6 PM.
We've also added a JV/V home game on June 20th vs East Buchanan.
Thank you and go Rebels! ⚾️
