Rebel Nation: this week each day you will see a new set of faces showcased. Over the past 2 weeks all of our elementary kids "ran the mile" in PE. TK-2nd/3rd grade tried to run a mile, without walking. 3rd-6th grade worked on pacing to see how fast they could run the mile. Those younger kids that ran a mile without walking are now part of the mile club! Mrs. Plett's Best Mile times were: Girls- McKinley Bonjour 9:25 and Boys- Jaylon Olson 6:20, Congrats! . #rebelnation

The sewing students used their precision measuring and cutting skills to help the Athletic Department with their banners.

Rebel Nation, We will have a combination of state golf/track participants doing a walkthrough at the elementary on Wednesday at 3 PM. These same student-athletes will also be doing a walkthrough at the HS on Thursday morning at 9:15. We will have another short sendoff from the parking lot Friday morning around 8:50 for Hudson Clark before he leaves for state track. On Monday before boys golf leaves for Newton and the 1A state tournament, we will have another parking lot sendoff. Update will be provided on the timing. We invite you to line the hallway Thursday morning at 9:10-9:15 for our state track and golf participants! Go Rebels! #rebelnation

On Saturday, we had two junior high representatives participate in the Des Moines Iowa Youth and Government conference where they presented bills and debated with peers from across Iowa. Kiley Presar and Grant Frahm did an excellent job! Special acknowledgement goes to Grant Frahm for earning an Outstanding Statesperson award.

We have a send off schedule set for Kennedy Brant and Hudson Clark ahead of state track this week:

*Wednesday May 20th - 3:00 PM - Hallway walk through at the elementary

*Thursday May 21st - 9:15 AM - Hallway walk through at the high school

- Kennedy will be leaving shortly after the walkthrough while Hudson will be leaving Friday morning. We wanted to give them a sendoff together on Thursday. We invite friends, family, and students to line the hallway leading to the east side parking lot as they will walk through at 9:15 on Thursday morning.

On Friday morning, Hudson will be leaving from the east side parking lot at 9. We invite friends, family, and students to meet in the parking lot at 8:50 on Friday morning to send Hudson off.

It's going to be a GReat week with a lot of events taking place! It's a GReat time to be a Rebel!
