Forensic detectives practiced their observation skills with a mock crime scene. We observed some blood spatter, footprints, a note, and an overturned desk. Lots of good predictions. The conclusion: a nosebleed during a staff meeting! *not real blood*

The TK class worked in small groups to make this mural for the nursery rhyme One, Two, Buckle My Shoe.
Today in forensics we solved the case of the missing quiz. Students looked at substances under the microscope and took notes. They compared that to the substance left over at the crime scene and to the suspect list. Turns out Lexi was the one responsible! Great job, detectives!

The 7th graders just finished their unit on circles. We celebrated by making Pi Pies (we are not at school on Pi Day so we did it now.).

Today, we learned about turkeys in Ag in the Classroom. We watched a video, built turkey barns with Legos, and made a turkey that makes noises. I'm sure if you have a third-grade student, you will hear it tonight when they bring it home! Thanks to Shari for teaching our students each month about an agricultural topic. Also, thanks to Grundy County Farm Bureau for providing these opportunities for our students!

Staff and students at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary worked together to make 21 tie blankets to be sent overseas to soldiers who are deployed. Students colored pictures and wrote words of encouragement. These blankets and words of encouragement will be specifically sent to Mr. Logemann and his battalion. We are so proud of our students and their willingness to thank our service members.

The TK kids were very proud of the mice they made for our Hickory Dickory Dock clock. This was a difficult task because they had to draw and cut out each part of their mouse on their own. They worked very hard and did a GReat job!
