Big day for Nathan Smiley and Jayla Hemann as they represent GR at the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards sponsored by EMC Insurance Companies. They've spent hours at the Des Moines Civic Center rehearsing for their parts in the Opening Medley of the showcase, which will air live tonight at 7 on Iowa PBS. We are excited to share the 2026-2027 Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD District Calendar!

As part of our continued facility improvements and building projects, the district will begin the school year one week later than our traditional start date. This adjustment will allow additional time for construction completion, classroom setup, and move-in efforts to ensure our students and staff begin the year in the strongest environment possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and support as we continue investing in the future of our schools and our students.

The GR boys golf team will be completing in the 1A state tournament @ Westwood Golf Course in Newton on Tuesday May 26 and Wednesday May 27. They will be departing at 11:15 tomorrow morning, so let's pack the east parking lot at 11:05 and send them off! Rebel Nation, Kennedy Brant earned a 6️⃣th place finish this afternoon in the 1A 100M hurdles. She finished with a time of 15.52 seconds which is a personal record. That time will also go down as a new school record. Kennedy goes 4 for 4 this weekend with 4 state medals in 4 events: 400M Dash: 4️⃣th 400M Hurdles: 4️⃣th High Jump: 8️⃣th 100M Hurdles: 6️⃣th *Kennedy concludes her track & field career at Gladbrook-Reinbeck as one of the programs best! She was able to compete on the blue oval at Drake Stadium many times against the top athletes in the state. We're so proud of you, Kennedy! Thank you and well done! 👏🏻 #rebelnation #iahstrk

Congratulations to Kennedy Brant, Hudson Clark on such a great Track career at G-R. Thanks to Coach Brant for all the time she put in to help our girls track program! Also a shout out to Coach Hershberger for his first year as an assistant for our boys program. 2026 State Track & Field‼️ We have a final update for today from the 2026 State Track & Field Meet: Kennedy Brant clocks in at 1:04.83 in the 400M hurdles to claim 4️⃣th place overall! Kennedy also hit a jump of 5'2" in the high jump to secure another medal and finish in 8️⃣th place overall! Kennedy will conclude her HS track & field career tomorrow in the 1A 100M hurdles final. Hudson Clark turned in a blazing time of 56.17 in the 400M hurdles! He finishes 1️⃣5️⃣th overall in class 1A! Hudson concludes his HS track & field career as one of the best hurdlers in the class and was able to compete on the blue oval one final time among the best in the state!
